PFA is close to PTFE in chemical and thermal resistance, but with better mechanical properties than PTFE. It has unequalled chemical inertness, high heat resistance, toughness and flexibility. Low moisture absorption, non-flammability and exceptional dielectric properties uniquely qualify PFA for applications that cannot utilize any other material. Although at room temperatures PFA and FEP are similar in performance, PFA has a higher service temperature ( 260oC) than FEP.
