NEW! - PVDF Immersion Coil Types of Heat Exchangers - January 2008.
Fluorotherm introduces PVDF/fluoropolymer tubing heater coils, a new addition to our family of corrosion resistant immersion heat coils exchangers to fill the cost/performance gap between our premium PTFE and cost effective Polypropylene (PP) frame designs. PVDF, or polyvinylidiene fluoride, is a relatively high temperature material compared to PP. PVDF frame heat exchangers perform at well beyond the 160 deg F upper temperature limit for continuous use of PP units; and have excellent aging properties under harsh chemical and thermal conditions. This means that performance life is nearly comparable to our top of the line PTFE frame units; at a relatively lower price. Field data from performance of PVDF frame units have been very encouraging to date and validates the technical basis that led to its design and introduction.
NEW! - Custom design heat exchangers available
Fluorotherm has introduced a new flexibility to its design and manufacturing approach that allows for easier implementation of custom requirements for heat exchangers. Many variations; ranging from minor reconfigurations to uniquely new designs are now possible. Fluorotherm has created this new capability to accomodate an increasingly larger volume of customized design requirements; leading to a larger experience base in immersion heat coils options.

Corrosion resistant and ultrapure fluoropolymer FEP, MFA and PFA tubing immersion heat exchangers are used for heating and cooling. They are unsurpassed in chemical resistance due to their fluoropolymer construction; and are superior to other exotic metals, alloys, glass and graphite. End uses are numerous: pickling, semiconductor wafer processing, metal plating, galvanizing, gas condensing for process and sampling, and ultrapure applications.
Fluorotherm's types of heat exchangers have been proven worldwide over the past 35 years. All surfaces are fully exposed to fluid for maximum heat transfer. They are rugged, able to withstand the toughest environments under high temperatures, can handle live steam heating, and are the most durable the market has to offer.
Immersion design heat exchangers are available in 600+ dimensional and design variations to suit virtually any tank size and shape.
A fluoropolymer heat transfer surface is provided for both low and high temperatures. Materials selection varies with your operating conditions such as water or steam pressure, flow rates, heat duty and process/service fluid temperatures. Components are made to strict quality control and inspection. Call Fluorotherm for detailed information.
Referring to photographs above, the width (or length) is the horizontal or "across" dimension, the overall height is the vertical dimension from the bottom to the top of the heat coils, the immersion height is the vertical distance from the bottom to the top of the coil, and the thickness is generally the smallest dimension representing the thickness of the frame (or coil).
